Cliff Diving

Since THIS is what she looks like about 98% of the time....

This is what happens to her face after she stops... suddenly....

on the floor.

Forehead, meet corner.

Corner, meet forehead.

Onion Fest

I know everyone gets tired of me saying it, but she's not a real baby.  Real babies aren't always this happy.  I believe in my heart without a doubt that children play off your emotions and attitude about 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time they are who they are going to be.  Spencer is the easiest baby ever.  The other two were easy, but she's a dreamy child.  It isn't even normal.  She is happy to sit and happy to walk.  She is only unhappy when she's really tired or hungry.  She was a trooper for this trip to Vidalia for The Onion Festival.  We left in the middle of the afternoon in hopes that the kids would sleep on the way down, no such luck.  However, we had a blast once we arrived in Vidalia.  We spent Friday night browsing the street festival and fireworks.  Saturday was really rainy and we made it out to the arts and crafts festival for a little bit after the rain went away.

In between Onion Fest events we jumped on the trampoline, got mosquito bites, and drew on the patio with chalk.   We spent a lot of time with our cousins and really enjoyed the time with family.

Some of us ate chalk.  Not mentioning any names, but poop gets pretty colorful...
Just sayin'...

Working on fine motor skills and handwriting with this girl for her entrance into 'pre k' this fall...

I was sincerely hoping that Spencer would be a nice blend of her siblings.  Subtly cautious and a bit daring.  Instead I got a duplicate of the crazy sister.  Fearless Wonder Version 2.0.  She doesn't care about anything.  Throws caution to the wind and climbs all things....

Messiest eater on the planet...

Fearless baby with rolls for days...

I need to work on my pirate face.  He's perfected it, but I look like something might be wrong with me.  His favorite part of the whole weekend was the mysterious gray deer.  More about that later...

Cousin Playdate

Last week I got to play with my littles and Kendall.  She came to our house while her Daddy was coaching wrestling with our Daddy.  I go to experience the '3 baby' deal with her for a few hours.  She was the most well behaved of the 3 while they played together.  My two, on the other hand, were making me crazy.  I try to make sure that I spend time with them as soon as I get home, so they will be able to play independently without needing to crawl in my butt.

On this particular day I was NOT successful with the 'play independently part' of the plan.  They pretty much acted like they wanted to play in the middle of the kitchen floor while I tried to cook dinner.  Cooking dinner while trying to hurdle two preschoolers is like cleaning the house while they are playing.  Either way, we had  great visit with Kendall and everyone eventually ate dinner.

Spring Break: 3 days in.

Kitchen has been repainted.
It was a heinous yellow color that was almost blinding it was so bright.
Now it is a glossy sorta green ish that barely looks like a color, but it is.
I love it.
I'm pretty excited to get some decorating done!
My step mom was kind enough to come help me paint it!
She's also taking my kids the last half of the week....
I'm going to shop at some thrift and antique stores for some decor while they are gone!

We went to play at the park today.
I didn't feel so well, so I didn't play too much.
The kids had a BLAST!

Success with the sewing machine today!
I bought a headband like this online a few weeks ago.
Actually, they were on sale so I bought four.
I became obsessed with them.
They stay put on my hair all day long, through any activity.
They are amazing!
I decided I would figure it out and make my own!
I ventured to Hobby Lobby (the mother ship as Kitty calls it) last week.
Got the ribbon, the backside ribbon, and elastic needed.
Made the headband today.

I might decide to sell them and pay back my college loans with the profit.
I need a catchy name...
Any ideas?

Got 3 things on my to do list done this weekend!
Maybe I need to add a few more things to the list?
If I have enough time and I'm brave enough I'll make a skirt or pants for myself...

Spring Break Goals

We moved in August.
I have yet to paint any of the house on the inside.
It is beginning to annoy me.
Mind you, I'm the WORST about starting a project and not every finishing it.
THE.  WORST.
Just ask my husband, it is probably the most annoying trait I have.
I have grand ideas about things.
Very lofty ideas.
And I start the project, get about 1/3 of the way through, and find something else to do.
Maybe I just have extreme adult A.D.D.
Either way, I'm beginning to annoy myself.

So, I have a week off from school and I have a to do list.
Here's hoping I'm going to check at LEAST half of them off the list.
My goal is 100% completion, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't get it all done.
Clearly, #4 & #5 take priority.  :)
And I can't take good care of the babies if I don't take care of me.
# 6 & #7 are also pretty important as well.
The rest are just things I want to get done.
Here's hoping the babies take long naps during the week!

A fairy...

I wish there was a fairy who emptied and reloaded the dishwasher every day.
I have a headache and I don't want to deal with the dishes.  Bleh.
Y'all remember when this little buy used to help in the kitchen?

I also wish we had a laundry fairy.  I just need her to fold and put it away.
I don't mind the sorting, washing, drying, etc...
Folding it and putting it away, I'd rather stab my eyeballs out with a spoon.
OH!  And matching socks!?
Why do they disappear?  Where does the match go?  Why do you only lose one!?

Sad day for Gator fans

It was a sad day in Gator Nation because they lost.
Clearly we are not heartbroken.
Daddy worked the game for CSC and got to watch from the sidelines.
We had pizza for dinner and flipped between the game and Disney Junior.
It. was. awesome.

Tiny Pots

In the midst of moving, I'm trying to figure out how to get all the mess put away...
I have these tiny pots and I was trying to find a place to put them last week.
I noticed that Hayes had taken to them...
He has been using them as tea cups and pretending that he's drinking from them.
They also hold magic juice, as he tells me.
Not sure what the magic juice does, but they have some.
They are excellent for stacking and he didn't break a one while he was playing with them.
They are clay pots and fragile.
I am the genius that broke one.
And then I had to explain to Hayes that it was my fault.
He shed some tears about that clay pot and was quite dismayed to see them disappear the next day.

Appliance Love

We are trying to make sure she loves cooking as much as ME!
She loves the microwave.
Loves to look in it.
Look at it.
Watch it cooking.
And most of all, she LOVES the ding it makes when it is done!
