This morning I got to sleep late. I slept until 8:00 a.m. Write that down. 8 a.m.
Is that really even SLEEPING LATE!? I used to think sleeping late was 9:30-10:00, but these days anything PAST 7 a.m. is sleeping in. I was thrilled to see 7:24 on the clock and know that I could roll back over for a little while longer without someone screaming 'MOMMMA, I WANT MILK' or 'DAYEEEEEEEEEEE (daddy), DAYYYYYEEEEEEEE' over and over again.
After I dragged myself up at 8, I went for a 2 mile run. I was so proud of myself.
1. I could run 2 miles.
2. I didn't die.
3. It wasn't THAT hard. AKA--I didn't feel like I was dying (much).
After I ran, we all got ready to go to Barbara Jeans on St Simon's Island. I LOVE that place. I left my sunglasses inside the restaurant (sad face) and was worried I would be without and squinty for the remainder of my trip. One of my sweet students was kind enough to go get them for me, except the 'lost' pair of glasses that he 'found' (behind the bar at the restaurant) aren't my glasses. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, right? Either way, I got some shades and some chocolate stuff.
I'll eat that later and little by little. The calories don't count that way, right?!

Prisoners
The children were telling me good bye yesterday.
I'd like to think they were sad to see me go.
But nobody really looks sad, do they?
Baby girl has really taken to this 'crawling' thing and we can't hardly keep her still these days!
Minus that part where her daddy let her fall off the bed last week, she remains mostly injury free. Like that nose-rug burn look?
I am THRILLED to be on a trip with my school kids this weekend. I have the EXTREME privilege to escort 11 of our National Honor Society kids to the GANHS Convention in Jekyll Island Georgia. We are enjoying the beautiful weather, sunshine, and beach fun!

Spring Break
We partied hard here at the Cochran Casa for a whole week during Spring Break. We did take a brief trip to the lake for 3 days to soak up some sun and relax.
We enjoyed boat rides and a trip to Bass Pro Shop. Hayes was particularly fascinated with the eeemals (animals) at BPS and continued to tell all of us about all the various noises they make.
Elizabeth discovered the swing and had an amazing time outside crawling around eating grass.
Hayes also ate himself a moon pie or two.
He drove some boats and ATVs at BPS. Adventure all around!

The Color Run
**When I wrote this post the other night my blog/computer was giving me FITS, so I posted it in haste at about midnight. The next day I woke up and didn't SEE the post, so I made another one. They were both there and then not there. I accidentally forgot (typical) that my AMAZING mother also ran/walked The Color Run with us. Sorry Mom!**
In case you haven't heard of this 5 k, go to www.thecolorrun.com immediately and then sign up as soon as you can. I can't WAIT for the 2013 version!
We started the day like this... mostly white clothing.
Then as we ran people showered us with colored powder.
First yellow, then green, then pink, and finally purple.
After the race was finished there was a GIANT color party at the finish line!
I think we all had a good time.

I mean, can she BE any cuter!?
I don't think that this baby girl could get any cuter! She is just so precious and I so enjoy playing with her.
She is so stinking pleasant all the time!
She just grins when we talk to her. She loves her big brother and anybody else who talks to her!
I am just not sure what we will be doing when she realizes that the world doesn't revolve around her... Anyone want to clue her IN?

Sometimes...
Sometimes you find someone who you completely identify with. Sometimes you find yourself laughing out loud because they verbalized exactly what you were thinking, feeling, and wanting to express. I found this www.mamalaughlin.com blog and I have decided I want to be her when I grow up. She is real and honest and real and hilarious. She takes life as it comes and isn't afraid to tackle the hard stuff. This blog is absolutely the best way for me to vent, laugh, and find comfort with my BUSY, but amazing life! This entry I found today seriously inspired me! I wonder if she will think I'm crazy IF I asked to be her BFF? Love--CC

Forgotten Puffs
I forgot that he is getting older.
I forget that he is a bit more coordinated and can open things.
I sometimes forget that I do not always put the Puffs up after I give her a snack.
And then I remember the mess.
At least he is sharing the puffs, right? I mean, there is clearly something to be said for the fact that he's being kind to his baby sister.
She's not complaining. Not one bit.
