Just for Aunt Patsy

She requested some fruit today.
Waffles for breakfast.
Grapes for a snack.
Cut into 4ths, just for Aunt Patsy.
We won't have any choking babies on my watch.
As you can see, she's quite pleased with herself.
And her grapes.

Come On Eileen

Helping Daddy with the dishes while having a dance party.
He's got pretty sweet moves.
And his Dad is not too bad either.

Bruiser

Hayes is pretty dang clumsy.
Notice the nice shiner on his cheek.
He hadn't been awake for more than about 20 minutes from his nap when he tumbled into his train table.
Face first.
Awesome.
I think his daddy freaked out more than I did.
But that's pretty normal.

Boat Ride Baby

We went for our first boat ride Sunday afternoon!
After we finally got her into a sorta comfortable position with the life jacket, she had so much fun!

She literally giggled the ENTIRE time.
She was super tired and refused to nap.
Leigh Anne got a good nap, but Libby just laughed the whole time.

Happy 39 Daddy!

Happy 39th Birthday Daryk!
He was a trooper on Saturday.
It was his birthday and we had a family reunion.
My family.
A bunch of people in Alabama that he doesn't know.
Yay!
We went to Weogufka and had family fun.
Hayes played with Carson and threw rocks in the lake.
Elizabeth was a HUGE hit with all the ladies.
On the way home I begged to stop and shop for antiques.
I didn't find anything that thrilled me, but I noticed some vintage lunch boxes.
There were TONS of really cool ones!
Mickey Mouse, Muppet Babies, Pete's Dragon, KISS, HeMan, etc...
I saw an Avengers box and immediately knew I wanted to get it for Daryk!
He was sitting in the car with sleeping beauty...
I went to get them so he could see it too!
As soon as he spotted the shelf, he noticed the Transformer box.
I swear, he has a 6th sense for that crap!  Its nuts!
He was so excited for that box.
Since I hadn't gotten his birthday gift yet, this was his present.
He is SO hard to buy gifts for.  Almost impossible.

Throwback Thursday--Gymnastics

I'm a little behind this month.  The last month of school.  Trying to pack up my classroom, plan for summer, and wrap up all the loose ends makes May insane!  Plus, we have prom, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Graduation, Baccalaureate (which I know how to spell without looking), and finally the BIG gymnastics performance.

I don't think I could have been MORE pleased with this big kid at his gymnastic performance!
He was such a joy to watch and laugh at!
He started his performance shy and timid, but was a shining star by the end of the hour.

He 'wowed' all of us with his beam skills.
**Thanks for the help Mrs. Brandi!**
 Showing off his handstand skills.
 Look guys!
We can crawl backwards on this beam thing here on the ground.
Or not...

 Forward rolls on the mat.
And lastly, showing off his muscles for the crowd.
He is so stinking cute I can't STAND it!
So very proud of my 2012 Douglasville Gymnastics Olympic Athlete!
Thomas Hayes Cochran--you are the apple of my eye.
I love you so much big boy!
One year ago we were starting gymnastics and you could barely walk without running into...
well everything.
Now, you are a more coordinated little man with some mad tumbling skills.

Climbing the Mountain

Have you ever seen a rear end that makes you giggle?
She was determined to scale the slide and had a blast climbing up and laughing at herself.
She would turn around and then just laugh at the water going down the side of the slide.
She was fascinated.

We splashed water at her and she giggled.
She went down the slide just once.
She had so much fun playing outside at the lake this weekend!
 Check out the rolls.
Girlfriend has rolls on her arms
She's got a pack of rolls on her legs.
But my favorite roll is the rolls right above her wrist.
Ultimate baby squish.
