First Bandaid

Today we went to the dr.... I thought we were going for a well visit. I had NO idea we were supposed to get shots! I wasn't happy about that. We talked with the doctor about the immunization schedule... I'm going to have to do some more research before I agree to many more of those things. I did agree to a few today, but only after the doctor and I talked about them. Hayes got 2 shots--one in each leg. He was a trooper and I'm pretty sure I cried more than he did! He'd just eaten and had a full belly so he fell asleep as soon as we left the office. So far so good! After he got home he was all smiles... for the hour he was awake.

  1. I am NOT a fan of Shot Day. It is a necessary evil, I get that. Truly. But I also don't do the 5-6 shots in one day thing. In my opinion that is waaaaaay too many shots for their baby system. The end. Oh! I like the hat. I think it's darlin'.

  2. Bless him!! Delaying shots is not a popular choice among pediatricians, but I think it is definitely the best route. I delayed LAs shots & spread them out & just didn't get some of them. Lots of time researching, stressful decisions- welcome to mommyhood! But it's all worth it!

  3. And it only gets worse. You'll cry and blame yourself for a lot of the skinned knees, splinters, bumps and bruises along the way. Believe me. But you survive as a parent. Your tears are irrigating the love between you and Hayes...making it stronger with each drop. I love you Princess!
